Two ways to embellish your LinkedIn profile with symbols

LinkedIn

We all know it’s important to make our LinkedIn profiles stand out from the crowd but LinkedIn doesn’t offer much in the way of bullet points and symbols to make it easy for us. There are two ways to get round this. One is to copy and paste symbols from Word.

Here are some I’ve already chosen that you can copy and paste into your own profile:

©   ™   £   ●   □   €   $   §   ÷   ®     ҉     Ω   ∏   ① ② ③ ④ ⑤

Alternatively, you can press the ALT key plus the number keypad on the right of your keyboard to create symbols. Check these out:

Alt + 1  ☺  smiley face
Alt + 15  ☼  sun
Alt + 14   ♫  musical note
Alt + 18  ↕  up/down arrow
Alt + 24  ↑  up arrow
Alt + 25  ↓   down arrow
Alt + 26  →  right arrow
Alt + 27  ←  left arrow
Alt + 29  ↔  left right arrow
Alt + 0153   ™   trademark symbol
Alt + 0161  ¡  upside down exclamation mark
Alt + 0169  ©  copyright symbol
Alt + 0174  ®   registered trademark symbol
Alt + 0176  °   degree symbol
Alt + 0177  ±   plus or minus sign
Alt + 0191  ¿   upside down question mark

Let me know if you decide to use any of these, so I can check out your new-look profile on LinkedIn.
